Most aspects of our church life  at First Presbyterian are open to members and non-members alike. Nevertheless, church membership is indispensable for the Christian believer. In receiving church membership, the believer affirms his or her faith in Christ Jesus and willingness to submit to the church Session; in granting church membership, the church Session affirms it's belief that the individual's faith is genuine, and the Session commits to the individual's wellbeing and spiritual maturity.

Periodically, a “Believe and Belong” class is offered for those interested in church membership. Over several sessions, the class explores the basics of Christian belief, as well as the distinctives of First Presbyterian Church. At the final class session, participants are given the opportunity to be interviewed for membership by the Session.
